As a child, I was conditioned to see the world from one angle. The world then was fragmented, cautious, small and silent. I grew up feeling that there was always something missing, a piece of the story that no one knew or was willing to admit. I wanted to know more.
Often, when memory meets time it distorts the truth. The truth is extracted from all of the senses that were stimulated by experience, history and emotion. I capture compositions that show cultures, species, and landscapes, with the aim of portraying all the elements that make up this particular emotion in time and space.
I speak in pictures that are balanced, raw and natural, in order to best represent the truth. And when the truth is shot from different perspectives, the history is more holistic and grounding.
